Upcoming Maintenance Calendar

Premier Roofing & Building will be on-site to perform our annual roof maintenance.  They will be on property from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Facility Masters will be back to complete the sealing of the wood decking in the Courtyard.  Once sealed, the deck requires 24 hours to cure and may not be utilized.

Saturday, October 5th, 2019 – OWNER BALCONY CLEANING DAY


At the request of several owners, we have coordinated a date to address cleaning of all balconies.  Please be mindful of your neighbors below –especially on the first floor and debris should be picked up after sweeping and prior to rinsing off your balcony so that there is no debris falling below.  Please utilize only water so chemicals do not damage anything below.

Facility Masters has coordinated Window Washing of the exterior windows.  Doors/Windows in exclusive area space (example: sliding glass doors on balconies/patios) are not included.  To ensure your privacy, you may wish to close your shades.

Red Hawk has assured us we are now able to perform the Required REG 4 Testing following the aborted test on September 11th.  The testing will commence at 5 p.m. and run through 9 p.m. – although, will likely be completed sooner.  To test the emergency back- up, power will be disrupted for about 10 minutes, as will the elevators while they are tested.  They will then move directly into the residential units. You will need to provide access to your unit so that the technician can verify the mini-horn for their report.  If you cannot personally do so, then please contact Community Manager Dean Driscoll (ddriscoll@actionlife.com) about how to obtain access (A neighbor, a lockbox, remote access, etc.)


Dear Neighbors,

The Board of Directors has completed a Gallery Lofts Emergency Preparedness manual. This outlines procedures to follow in the event of a crime, earthquake, or fire. Please review the book as a whole and take note of the items that are relevant to your individual units, especially water shutoffs. Additionally, please not the included Red Cross preparedness notes and review your own personal readiness for a fire or earthquake, as well as suggestions from LAPD and our security consultants over the years concerning minimizing your exposure to crime.

Several owners have taken part in a walk through to familiarize them with building systems and are capable of assisting firefighters or other residents during an emergency. They form the Gallery Lofts Emergency Committee:

The Committee would like to know if any residents may require special assistance in the event of an emergency. This would include anyone who is disabled, elderly, needs assistance evacuating via stairs, and children. Please email Dean Driscoll (ddriscoll@actionlife.com) with this information so we may share this information with the Emergency Committee and so that neighbors may be there to help should the need arise.

Adjourned Annual Meeting

We did not have a quorum for the Annual Meeting held on February 18, 2019.  The Adjourned Annual Meeting has been scheduled for March 4th at 6:00 p.m. in the Courtyard.  If you have not already sent in your ballots, for both the election and the special ballot measures, please send them in immediately, or bring to the meeting, or give to a Board member.
